March Favourites

Keeping this short and sweet as I'm not fond just of yet to think about the end of march..
I've been trying extremely hard the last three months to take care of my skin, mind and body. Part of this was to do with a boy, he made me happy and wanted to make sure I looked and felt great all the time although even just being with him did that.

Throughout March I really stuck to a routine with my skin. Once a week I'd use Neutrogena's Gentle Exfoliating Scrub, and whenever I felt like my skin needed a quick boost the Daily Scrub.  My skin, is extremely sensitive, but can be dry and oily.  Suffering from eczema I'm weary about trying scrubs and exfoliators as the nature of the beast is to be abrasive. However, my word the daily scrub was brilliant.

It did exactly what it says. It reduced my blemishes left from several pimples that left marks, and left my skin feeling fresh and bright. I never brought either of these scrubs around my eye area (under). The areas I did use them on left brilliant results. What I tended to do was, nights I was going out to brighten up my skin I'd very lightly use the grapefruit scrub to help my skin take the makeup better. A great idea, which I now do every friday night before I head out! And oh my marzipans, the smell of the grapefruit made cleansing time so much more relaxed and nicer too. I'd recommend either of these products, and as a result will be certainly trying more Neutrogena products from here on out.

The last thing is the Rose scented candle from Ikea. I first got this candle during my exams last June. The scent is ever so relaxing and dream inducing.

Sirens Bayou Leftovers and a Nasty Reaction

When I was in with melvin during the break these cardboard prints where lying round all over the place, The Sirens Bayou print is class, with a retro vibe calling back on the working girls of America from WW1 ( what our siren reminds me of, can't you see it? the big hair, hourglass figure) There was a certain amount of ink left over so melvin figured use up the screenprint as it had so many gos left in it. Maybe we'll run a competition on the facebook page for fans to win a framed print and have it signed by the fabulous street artist Friz who we collaborated with. I love my interpretation of it, but hey, since Friz is the artist and all.. the print actually features one of his trademark heroines.

*The Sirens Bayou print is part of last season of P.A.A and still available for purchase here! *

Since it is just after easter and all, there's plenty of leftover choclate floating round my house. I'm not thie biggest of chocolate eaters, but I had a particular craving for the lindt knock off bunny thats been chilling on the mantle. To my delight I woke up this morning with a cluster of pimples running up my left cheek in a S shape. Wonderful. I literally just got my skin back under control. Life why? I've got 2 weeks till the Charity Ball and this is the hand you deal me? Cheers for that.

The Intern Diaries...

Recently I was given the opportunity to take on a 6 month internship with the independent clothing group Project A Apparel, whom are part of the Blind Tiger Collective. Dualta, my boss and the man behind The Blind Tiger Collective is a class A guy, who only shows passion and dedication to bringing Irish Brands together and make it.

Obviously I didn't just magically get offered this internship. I've been doing work experience with P.A.A since before Christmas. I've learnt a fair amount already and hope to get an even better grip on everything.

Recently, with Dualta and Fran being in London, theres been alot to get ready for the launch of SS13, been overloaded with going in and out of town over my easter break, with a tenner pop for a return ticket i've really burnt a hole in my savings as I hate asking my parents for money now that I have a job. But sure, shit needs to get done. And fast.
