My name is Lesley and I'm a 23 year old living in seaside village on the outskirts of Dublin. I am recently a graduate of NCAD with a BA Hons in Product Design & Visual Culture, but working as a junior designer.
In early 2006 I started 'Denim and Silk Simplicity' after having a realisation about my longing to work in fashion, and decided to help my future career it would be great to have have my own space to write and share my personal style. As time went on, I attended college not to study fashion, I let my hopes for this blog dwindle. Yet after developing several skin conditions, this blog became a different type of platform. I began sharing and documenting my skin conditions via social media to help others, to ensure those suffering similar problems were not alone. I now share my journey suffering with chronic atopic dermatitis, my hints and tips for sensitive skincare, my own experiences of treatments, but have not forgotten the original heart of this blog : Fashion.
I hope to expand the Denim & Silk brand into something big one day.
2017 is a year of promise, aiming for more posts on various areas, and possibly
beginning a youtube channel.
