Style Update // The Brits 2014

As much as I like the Grammys and all the other hollywood award shows, I never go out of my way to watch them. The Grammy Award ceremony isn't exactly exciting. Anyway you'll find out immediately the next day who wore what, who won what, and who had a long ass thank you speech and teared up. Can anyone say Anne Hathway the year of Les Mis? Yea. Not my idea of good television.

I much prefer the Brit Awards. The people who go to it, the style, the music. So heres a few of my favourite outfits from the Brits and  a few outfits that weren't styled very well.

Aluna George looked gorgeous, very classic glam with
a on-trend nod to mesh and visible bralettes.

Annie Mac looks immaculate for being still a relatively new mum of a one year old. Love the quirky print of the dress. Plus, the skater skirt dress is perfect to hide any post baby lingering weight that doesn't want to shift on the tummy area, and with that sleeve length too it also hides a common area women prefer to hide!

Queen Bey. Nothing needs to be said. She just is Queen.

The Minogue Sisters. Lace on Danni, leather on Kylie. You planned that combination girls didn't you. Props

Fearne Coton decided to go the Brits dressed as the SIlver Surfers mot.

Foxes. When looking photos of her at the brits, every photo she looked so darn excited. The pink is a great colour, but my eye keeps being drawn to the poor chicken who got died cerise pink at the bottom of her dress.

Haim. Ham. Ham. No not ham. But Ha-mmm. Like mmm.

Iggy just looked curvalicious. Have to say what I admire the most about Iggy is how her makeup is always so minimal and barely there.

Katy Perry is very much channeling her inner Cleopatra.

Now, listen Lilly Allen has been getting a lot of stick for this outfit  The mad half lady gaga hair and  Iggy Azalea ponytail could've been styled a lot better. A plain black jumpsuit would've looked fabulous with minimal jewellery, making her hair style a statement piece all on its. However, the sequin floor length is a tad too much. I love Lily Allen, and I get she's trying to stand out and make a statement that she doesn't care about how the industry expects her to look. But this, this was not the outfit to try say that.

Rita Ora and Calvin Harris <3 Ending the rumours of their split. The two still look very much a perfect couple. Rta Ora looks perfectly lemony fresh in this plunging yellow dress. This is personally one of my favourite outfits and couple of the night.

Ellie Goulding. Aka. Modern Day Princess Peach...

Jessie J.  Jumpsuit, s'aight. The pale blue whitish lipstick? Oh hey thur Frost Queen. The black hair, nude outfit and that lipstick. Not your best fashion moment Jessie.

Couldn't leave out Nick Grimshaw and James Cordons kiss
