Norske Skincare - Does it Work?

Hello all, I've decided to kick things off again with a review of some of the products  I'm currently using for my skin. Anyone who knows me , knows that I can be a divil for trying too many products within a short space of time in the hope of finding the magic remedy for my skin problems. The thing is though, getting perfect skin requires patience.

While yes, I am on cyclosporin to combat peripheral and atopic dermatitis, the dryness around my mouth has remained stubborn and refuses to vacate the premises - and its not even paying rent. Include being put on roaccutane the dryness has become extremely intolerable. Not just affecting how my skin feels around my mouth but more than anything my self esteem. I have tried so many products to get rid of the dryness and ugly flaking, but it remains a constant hindrance when I want to wear makeup ,  and even when I don't.

Up until a month ago I was using an emollient cream called Epaderm, which I thought was working. It is free of all the bad things like SLS, parabens and chemicals. But it is not a healing cream, nor is it breathable. Until I found Norske Skin Therapy Cream I though Epaderm was my only solution to the dryness I deal with every day, not just for my mouth but hands, elbows and any other part of my body that is giving out screaming for hydration.

The difference I've found with Norske is primarily that this ointment has been developed to aid in healing, and it is breathable. Let us dry skin people rejoice! A cream that is locking in moisture, a healing aid, and breathable, pure magic! Containing only petrolatum, panalane, and avocado oil it is no wonder the ointment works so well - panalane is an emollient used in many many cosmetic products specifically in baby skincare and is used as a moisturizer in cosmetic goods.

I use the cream religiously throughout the day and swear that it is the reason why the skin above my lip isn't as flaky as it once was. The only downside I have come across to this cream is how glossy it is when applied. If you apply the cream sparsely to where you need it, your skin will absorb it quicker but due to how dry mine is I apply a sufficient amount and rub it in as much as I can - and to lift flakes ( I like to rub in the ointment in circular motions prior to makeup application to lift any dry skin ) but there is always a gloss effect after application. This gloss is from the panalane, but to be honest , it being such a miner con of the ointment and knowing how effective it has been, the glossy sheen can be overlooked I think.

Overall this product is a dream so far, and has an interesting background before becoming commercial. The important question is, does it do what it says on the tin and would I recommend it? Yes. Yes,  ten times over. I can physically feel the difference between Epaderm and Norske, and how my skin feels after wearing it throughout the day. And I've seen the effects of using it every day on the dryness around my mouth I have even noticed it helps in healing spots up too, which is a surprising bonus don't you think?

Currently you can only buy this cream online, which can be found here Norske Skincare.

Till next time ,
