Longitude // Style Spotting

Last weekend I ended up at Longitude in Marley Park, it was quite unplanned as I had bought a single friday ticket a week before it, then managed to get my very much delighted little hands on a weekend ticket courtesy to a friend from college on the thursday before the festival.

The line up was top notch featuring the likes of  Ben Howard, Bastille, Hozier,  Sam Smith, Disclosure and Massive Attack. People in the festival business would comment that a festivals second year running is probably the hardest, indicating if it'll make or break the festival circuit. If the vast number of punters and screams of delight when each act came on was to go by,  I'd say MCD are pretty darn chuffed with themselves.

I had an amazing time, enjoying not just the music, array of food stalls, and gorgeous forest strolls that always seemed to end at the Redbull stage, but also the style at the festival.

Oh festival style, how colourful and wonderfully unbounded thou can be at times.  We all know flowers and fringe seem to be the stereotypical thing of festivals. I'll admit I wore a floral headband. That cost me fifteen quid. From Claires Accessories. I felt like a ponce for half of the friday wearing this outrageous headband, but once I let loose of my inhibitions and worry of how silly I may or may not have looked, I figured noone bloody cares. They look good in photos, they're a bit of a fun. They're the ultimate festival accessory as I began to take notice of what others were wearing I thought to myself why the hell am I not taking photos. ( by the way, a lot of flowers in girls hair was noticed. A lot)   It was only by the friday evening I started to really appreciate other festival goers style.  I took snaps of the people who I thought were really cream of the crop, and stood out a bit from everyone else.

*Thank you to everyone who let me take their photo and name, was much appreciated as I was freaking nervous approaching my first Spotted. It got easier after that*
