The Jeans Issue // Mens Fashion

This post is going to be directed at the somewhat male audience that may or may not be interested in how they're dressing themselves. I'll admit, I am terribly judging on how guys style themselves. I, like every other woman out there I'm sure, really appreciates a guy who looks well.

I'm going to start on the basic item in any guys wardrobe. Jeans. There are so many different variations of jeans, and with that comes with so many wrong ways to wear them! Although it is not always the man's fault in why their choice of jeans is simply, well bad.
Jeans that have;
  • Bad acid washes
  • Machine made "wear" holes and shredding:
  • Those god awful bleached crease marks around the groin and knee.

There really is no need.  This list could go on and on, but how long is a piece of string lads?

Firstly, like any piece of clothing, you want it to be flattering. How guys can forget this when buying something such as jeans is beyond me. When a girl buys new jeans, first thing we check out is our ass. Fact. If our ass doesn't look good in those low-rising River Island black jeans the 30 odd blips is not being doshed out. Now, boys, its not that we want to see your perfectly tight derriere, but what is nice is some shape and structure.
On the note of skinny jeans, they were a huge phenomena there for a while which kinda died off. And looking at AW trends for men , theyre making a new appearance. But there are  dos and donts in the skinny territory.

If you're going skinny,  it does NOT mean they've to be bet into ye. Skinny jeans are essentially straight legged which tend to crumple in round your ankle giving you extra fabric to roll, for you ankle bearing types. Yes, skinnies tend to be a snug fit, but there are ways to wear them without bearing your package.  If you're going skinny remember;
  • Loose tops and sweaters, I wouldn't recommend going tight on tight unless your auditioning for Tallafornia
  • Slim shoes/ trainers are a must. Overly bulky trainers and boots can add a weird kinda John Wayne twang to your walk without you even realising
  • PLEASE do not pull the waist of your skinnies halfway down your ass. No swag for you.
  • If you are a rather built, GAA, Rugby, or gym enthusiast, possibly another jean fit is better, as finding a pair you can get into comfortably can be an issue

I could rant on and on about jeans, and the different types and how to dress them, but essentially guys , the onus is on you. The wearers. I don't know all your shapes and sizes, so it is down to you to choose the fit that is most appropriate and flattering for your leg shape. To start the ball rolling if your into the skinny style heres some inspiration.
